An incredible space for an event. The owner Marty helped us make our dream happen. I am so thankful to have found such a beautiful space run by a beautiful human.

SAGA gallery is a beautiful space run by beautiful people. I honestly could not recommend exhibiting here any higher. They are affordable, flexible, accomodating and clearly really care about nurturing community, promoting artists, and making life long friends. Marty, the owner of the venue, is one of the biggest legends I've ever had the joy of stumbling across. He's lived a thousand lives, can problem solve like no other, and will give you the best hug of your day. He was personally dedicated to making sure our event was a success, not because he had heaps to gain from it financially, but because he believed in us and making and creating art. Working with someone like this makes a world of difference, and is the reason I believe I could do collaborative work for the rest of my life. SAGA is an old school venue where anything feels possible, problem solving is easy and warm and fuzzies are guaranteed.

We’ve done 2 DIY live music and art events at SAGA and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. SAGA is reasonably priced and the perfect blank canvas space for artists who are keen to fill the space / take it in their own creative direction. Venue hire was inclusive for the days before our event and a day after so we had plenty of time to set up and pack down. The folks at SAGA are amazing to work with and we also had the option to run our own bar with a temporary liquor licence. 11/10 for the folks at SAGA - perfect for artists with a vision.

Great spot. They have some brilliant artists and a mad vibe down there. A must visit if your getting to know Melbourne or an art loving local.

I had a great experience with Saga Studios. As a video and sound installation artist, setting up in a gallery can be complicated, but Badai and Martin made the entire process—installation, exhibition, and deinstallation—smooth and organised. The space itself is excellent, with high ceilings, great lighting and various locations for displaying work, including enclosed areas for louder sound pieces. I highly recommend Saga Studios and their team!
